We noticed a faint musty smell in the basement and decided to finally test for radon. Ordered a simple kit online, placed it in the lowest living area for three months, and sent it to a lab. The results came back at 5.2 pCi/L, above the EPA's recommended action level of 4.0, so we're now looking into mitigation systems to safely vent the gas from under the slab.
