home radon mitigation 2

We finally got our home radon mitigation system installed yesterday. The crew sealed cracks in the basement floor and ran a pipe from under the slab up through the roof. Now a small fan constantly pulls soil gas away. Our test kit measured 8.2 pCi/L before; the post-mitigation reading should drop way below the EPA's 4.0 action level. It's such a relief knowing we're breathing safer air now.
